MICHAEL SCHÜTZ

is a creative director, executive producer and partner at Flying Monkeys Media – EUROPE. Driven by curiosity and a passion for innovation, he develops and produces international shows, virtual productions and cinematic formats for global brands and audiences. From concept development and visual design to dramaturgy or direction, his work combines strategic thinking with strong cinematic storytelling. Before joining Flying Monkeys Media, he developed and produced numerous formats for clients including SAP, Bayer and Porsche. Alongside branded and live productions, he also works on documentaries and independent film projects.

KATRIN JOHN

Director - Executive Producer - Partner

KATRIN JOHN

is an experienced director and executive producer as well as partner at Flying Monkeys Media – EUROPE. Her work focuses on international productions, documentary formats, format development and cinematic storytelling across platforms and audiences. Alongside her work in the industry for customers and broadcasters and film festivals like SAP, BMW, Brenntag, ARD, BR, ARTE, JOYN, DOK.fest Munich or Filmfest München, she has been teaching for many years at the renowned European film school HFF München. Film is her passion. She deeply values creative collaboration and is always curious about new ideas, perspectives and opprtunities.

ANDREAS SCHERLING

It’s all about timing – and ANDREAS SCHERLING, Creative Video Editor at Flying Monkeys Media – EUROPE, knew early on where his path was leading and where his impeccable sense of timing could make the biggest impact. After graduating school Andreas completed his media designer apprenticeship and successfully worked as a freelance editor for more than 20 years for companies like Sky and Bavaria Film – shaping his eye and mastering his craft from TV and sports coverage to corporate video content. Following his instincts and his deep understanding of what a story needs, he finds the right pictures, makes the right cuts and leaves his unique signature on every project. He is fast without rushing and feels comfortable in a calm editing room as well as in a busy control room environment – and by the way, he is also a really great guy who every producer wants to sit next to! 

Julia Vazquez

Creative Producer

JULIA VAZQUEZ

Inspire and connect – JULIA VAZQUEZ, Creative Producer at Flying Monkeys Media – EUROPE, loves to tell a good story, put ideas into writing and search for the perfect shot. Born and raised in Munich, Germany, Julia has a university degree in theatre and film science and her projects allowed her to travel around the world with stops in the US, Argentina, Japan and all over Europe – picking up some decent Spanish skills on the way while being abroad. Before making the switch to corporate video production, Julia worked as a producer in Television – from breaking news and award show coverage to documentaries, every assignment is a new adventure, every story and person behind it, unique to her.
Julia goes by her motto ‘be kind and be happy’ and loves the opportunity of meeting new people, seeing different places and fueling her creativity und curiosity. And she is really excited about meeting you, too!
